Creating a professional relationship that is built on loyalty provides me with a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. Coming from an extensive military background as the daughter of a commanding officer and a spouse of a veteran, I have learned the value of being loyal to my client and their customers.
Through my many years of experience, I have developed a deep understanding of the importance of honesty and integrity. Good relationships are built on trust. Every time I work for a client, it is important to me that my client feels they can trust what I have to say and what I will do.
I understand that a client values someone who will exhibit professional behavior at all times. Virtual assistants are often the first line of contact between who they work for and their clients or customers. I do everything in my power to communicate effectively and efficiently. I understand the importance of asking questions and obtaining all of the necessary information before providing it to the appropriate person. I will do everything in my power to ensure communication provided electronically is properly checked for grammatical and spelling errors. I know whatever is sent represents my client and must be held to the highest of standards each and every time.
As a self-confident person, I work hard to inspire my clients. I am not afraid to ask questions on topics where I feel I need more knowledge to complete the task. I recognize my strengths and have no problem admitting my mistakes. I have faith in my ability to not only get the job done but to do it thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
As a former general manager, I know the value of hiring someone who requires little supervision and direction to get the work done in a professional manner. This is an area I always scored highest on whenever my former supervisors had to provide me with an evaluation of my work. Once I have a solid sense of my responsibility for any task assigned to me, I will complete it in a timely manner. Just as my former supervisors did, my clients are able to assign a task and immediately feel a sense of relief knowing the job will be done and done right.
I ensure my clients are kept informed of any progress they request and when a task is completed. If at any time I feel a task may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, I will promptly relay this to my client and complete the task as soon as possible.
One of my strengths is working smarter, not harder. I have invested a lot of time obtaining the education and training to learn the most efficient way to complete tasks. I care deeply about the job I do for my clients and the projects I am tasked to complete, all while doing my best to maintain a positive attitude along the way. I take pride in doing more than is expected and my superior time management skills allow me to go above and beyond. I simply do not give up. I will not accept a task unless I know I can do the job properly, and I will stay with it until it is done.
One of the values treasured most by my former supervisors was my ability to be adaptable. I understand the importance of being flexible while completing tasks, and I quickly adapt to changes in technology and programs. I also comprehend the need to be flexible to the personality and work habits of my clients. Each person possesses their own set of strengths, and adapting personal behaviors to accommodate others is an integral part of what it takes to work effectively as a virtual assistant. I view change as an opportunity to foster new strategies, ideas, and priorities.
